How can Maldivian nationals apply for Medical Visa / Medical Attendant Visa and the period therein?

The visa applicants who intend to visit Thailand for medical treatment may apply for a single-entry Tourist visa under the category “MT” (Medical Treatment) which would permit a 60-day period of stay; or apply for a single-entry Non-Immigrant visa under the category “O” which would permit a 90-day period of stay. To apply for either types of the said visas, the applicant must submit, among others, medical documents issued by medical hospitals in Thailand and the Maldives which confirms details of treatment, illness, and period of the intended stay. For more information on visa application and procedure, please visit the website link http://www.thaiembassy.org/colombo/en/services/2113 on the website of the Royal Thai Embassy in Colombo.

The visa applicant who wishes to accompany the holder of the single-entry Tourist visa under the category “MT” (Medical Treatment) is required to obtain a sing-entry Tourist visa. The visa applicant who wishes to accompany the holder of the single-entry Non-Immigrant visa under the category “O” is required to obtain the same type of visa (single-entry Non-Immigrant visa under the category “O”).
