With the opening of Royal Thai Honorary Consulate in the Maldives, effective from 11 June 2019, the following consular services previously offered from the Royal Thai Consulate in the Maldives will now be available only from the Royal Thai Embassy in Colombo.
- Issuance of any type of visa for Thailand
- Legalization of documents
The Royal Thia Honorary Consulate will continue to provide Thai nationals in Maldives assistance on all other consular matters including the following:
If you have lost your passport or your passport validity is less than 6 months while in Maldives, you may apply for a Certificate of Identify / Temporary Travel Document for you to travel to Thai Royal Embassy in Colombo or to Thailand to renew your passport. You may download the following documents, complete them and submit 2 originals of the forms together with 3 passport size photo to us during office hours. Please note charges will apply for this service.
